Iris Bowl is a companion piece to Anne's Sunflower and Poppy Bowls. All glass, created using powdered glass over sheet glass. Back of bowl is a medium green with a matte finish. Shapes are cut on a glass ring saw and tinted and shaded with colored powders and heated flat in a kiln until melted together over a 24 hr period, then the glass is slumped into a bowl mold. This piece was fired four times to get the perfect combination of colors. Each piece is made by hand and there may be some color variations from piece to piece.
